We keep being told by mainstream media that its great for Syria and Syrians dancing and celebrating in the streets in many European countries. So why can't Syrians return home if they are so happy.
It should be explained if the percentage is calculated among total population or only working age population. If its the former, it’s not that strange because children and elderly can’t work. Also they explained that Syrians with German citizenship are not included in the statistic.
I think the word Weltanschauung is also kind of universal, at least in certain circles. Thanks again for all the great work by Michaela, Nina and Richard.
What a nice thumbnail, so accurate 😂. That’s the first picture that comes to mind when you think of ppl from Middle East wanting to get to Germany. Not Poland, not Hungary (even though it’s safe, too). Is it really about safety or cashing in as much as possible?
Give at least a link for A Merkel`s speech, not all of us speak german and subtitles are still in german for that fragment. Look like SHoltz done everything to prove that "no, we cant"

Syria needs its citizens that have been exposed to a democratic way of life to help change Syria for the better.
I agree. Also, I think, the policy of depriving countries of their best educated people has a terrible effect on those countries.
How is this even a debate?
Please do that with all immigrants in social security that do not contribute to Germany culturally, socially or economically.
Nah, they stay, the germans will leave.
What a poor discussion full of left echo chamber.

Nearly half are unemployed and collecting government benefits.

Events in Syria are not about democracy or human rights, it's about US, UK, Turkish, Israeli interests and the Qatar-Turkey gas pipeline project.
Wasn't that the whole point?
Where did they get the 42%? I headr its only 36%
